Key Rates and Thresholds for 2021/22

From 1 July many of the super contribution limits will increase, as will the amount that can be transferred into 100% tax free pension phase in retirement. See below for a summary of the key changes:

  • Concessional Super Contributions limit $27,500pa* (previously $25,000pa)
  • Non-Concessional Super Contributions limit $110,000pa (previously $100,000pa)
  • Government Co-Contributions income cut-off $56,112pa (previously $54,837pa)
  • Superannuation Guarantee Contribution rate 10%pa (previously 9.50%pa)
  • Super Guarantee maximum contribution base $58,920pq# (previously $57,090pq)
  • Super Pension Transfer Balance Cap $1,700,000^ (previously $1.6 million)

*Includes Employer Super Guarantee Contributions (SGC), Salary Sacrifice and Personal Tax-Deductible amounts.
